Organised by the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science (DiPSCo) at the University of Trento, the PreDoc Camp in Psychology & Cognitive Science is a 3-day educational opportunity for prospective graduate students wanting to pursue a PhD within DiPSCo's doctoral programme in Psychology & Cognitive Science.

The PreDoc Camp aspires to attract young aspiring researchers and get them in touch with our 3-year PhD programme, while also providing methodological learning opportunities on cutting-edge topics in psychology and cognitive science. 

The camp seeks to empower participants by providing them with specific methodological skills crucial for their research endeavours. Through targeted workshops, hands-on training, and interactive sessions with faculty members, as well as current and past PhD students, attendees will gain practical insights and knowledge, honing their abilities to navigate the intricate landscape of contemporary research methodologies.

The PreDoc Camp will be hosted by DiPSCo (Rovereto) on April 8-10 2026. Most of the activities will be hosted in Palazzo Fedrigotti and Palazzo Istruzione (Corso Bettini 31, Rovereto, Trento). The event will be solely in person.

The PrePhD Camp features the following:

• 5 lectures on cutting-edge research in cognitive science, psychology and artificial intelligence;

• "meet the faculty" events for getting to know experts at DiPSCo and discuss potential exciting research opportunities;

• all coffee breaks, lunch breaks and a light dinner included free in the registration, important for networking opportunities with professors and other PhD students;

• recreational activities between the lovely Rovereto and Trento, with good food, art and lots of nature.
